Woman dies while collecting wild fruit

A 59-year-old woman was found dead on Tuesday at Nkwizu village in the Kavango West Region after collapsing while gathering wild fruit.
Regional police Chief Inspector Raimbert Muronga confirmed the incident, which occurred around 13:00, and identified the deceased as Justina Kasonge Hausiku. Her next of kin were informed.
“It is alleged that the deceased went into the forest to collect wild fruit when she collapsed and died on the spot,” Muronga said.
The cause of death remains unknown, but no foul play is suspected.
An autopsy has been scheduled to identify the cause of death.
