On Saturday, a 35-year-old man was robbed of a silver Mitsubishi vehicle, registration N183-442W, by three male suspects at Ongwediva. The suspects allegedly asked the victim to drop them at the University of Namibia’s Ongwediva engineering campus and, on the way, they grabbed the victim from behind and one suspect forcefully grabbed the car keys.
“The suspects threatened to kill the victim, tied him up with a wire, put him in the passenger seat and drove with him to Ehenye location and later to Ondangwa, where they dropped him off at Omwandi waKamanya bridge,” a police report read. The vehicle is valued at N$50 000. No arrests or recovery have been made.
