The Charcoal Association of Namibia will host firefighting training this Saturday, 3 September, at Otjiwa Safari Lodge. Theoretical training will take place at 11:00, while a practical session will start at 13:30. A section of the lodge has been allocated for live veld firefighting. These sessions will be supported by the Otjiwarongo Firefighting Team, the Namibian Defence Force, the Namibian police, the forestry ministry and several farming associations, and will be open to the public.
