Rising star Gun Jade shines with new single, collaborations

With the release of '4 Your Love' and a collaboration with King Tee Dee, Gun Jade sets the stage for a promising career in the music industry.

Gun Jade, an up-and-coming artist, has recently released the visuals for her single ‘4 Your Love’ and is gaining recognition for her feature on King Tee Dee’s latest track, ‘Monima.’

In an interview with tjil, Gun Jade shared that the response to ‘4 Your Love’ has been overwhelmingly positive. When asked about the reception, Gun Jade expressed her gratitude, saying: "The support from my friends and family has been overwhelming, not to mention the encouragement I’ve received from other upcoming artists. I am truly humbled." She also extended a heartfelt thank you to Mr. Glo and Imms for their production work on the single.

Gun Jade describes her style of music as a vibrant fusion of Afrobeat, Zambian influences, R & B and gospel.

She cites artists like Davido, Ayra Starr, Tems, Daev Zambia and Yo Maps as significant influences. "You can pick this up in the chants, lyrics and melodies," she said, emphasising how these elements blend to create her distinctive sound.

Future aspirations

Looking ahead, Gun Jade aims to craft a unique sound that resonates with both local and international audiences while staying true to her Afrobeat, R & B and gospel roots.

"My goals include collaborating with other talented artists, both locally and internationally, to broaden my creative horizons and reach new audiences," she said.

She aspires to perform at major music festivals and venues worldwide, sharing her music with diverse audiences and establishing herself as a versatile and influential artist known for her unique fusion of genres.

A collaboration with King Tee Dee

Gun Jade recently had the opportunity to collaborate with one of Namibia’s biggest artists, King Tee Dee, on the track ‘Monima.’

Introduced to King Tee Dee by DJ KBoz, she described the experience as incredible and enriching. "I got an opportunity to work with someone who has achieved significant success and recognition in the music industry. This collaboration allowed me to gain new insights into the music-making process, from songwriting to recording," she shared.
