Ondangwa water stoppage on Wednesday
NEWS IN SHORT
NamWater has announced a planned eight-hour water interruption in Ondangwa, scheduled for 20 November.
NamWater spokesperson Lot Ndamanomhata said the interruption is due to construction work at the Ondangwa pump station. The work will take place from 8:00 to 17:00.
“The water supply interruption is necessary to allow the contractor to complete the connection of the new pipeline and integrate the new infrastructure with the existing systems,” he said.
Ndamanomhata said the work is crucial for the ongoing upgrade of the Ondangwa-Oluno/Indangungu pump station and will result in improved water supply capacity and reliability once completed.
He said essential service institutions such as hospitals, schools, police stations and clinics with critical water supply needs are urged to contact NamWater's office.
