A national standardisation strategy document, aimed at enhancing national quality infrastructure and fostering socio-economic development, is being spearheaded by the Namibian Standards Institution (NSI).

According to marketing and customer liaison officer Magnolia Lawrence, stakeholders provide input through extensive regional consultations to inform the national standards plan.

Seven regional consultations have been conducted successfully, she said, with four additional consultations scheduled for March.

She further urged stakeholders to participate in upcoming engagement sessions on 12 March in Gobabis and Ruacana, 13 March in Oshakati and 14 March in Katima Mulilo.

Meanwhile, an online survey is available for stakeholders to contribute their insights, she said.

NSI is the country's national standards body, promoting standardisation, quality assurance and metrology to boost economic competitiveness and sustainability.
