Countdown Investments, led by Hilda Basson Namundjebo, has announced the Independence Namibian National Symphony Orchestra Concert – a two-day music extravaganza to mark Namibia’s 35th independence celebrations.

Set for 19 and 20 March at the National Theatre of Namibia (NTN), the event marks the return of the much-cherished Independence Symphony Orchestra, uniting Namibians in an extraordinary display of music, patriotism and cultural heritage.

The event will feature performances by the Namibian National Symphony Orchestra and Vox Vitae Singers led by Eslon Hindundu, a Namibian composer and conductor, who has led choirs, orchestras and international performances.

The occasion coincides with the historic inauguration of Namibia’s first female president, Her Excellency Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, as well as the introduction of the country’s first Office of the First Spouse, held by Lt. General (Ret) Epaphras Denga Ndaitwah.

Sponsorship and community engagement

To bring this extraordinary vision to life, Countdown Investments is collaborating with elite sponsors, whose identities will soon be revealed, to align with this prestigious national event.

“The Independence 2025 Symphony Orchestra is not merely a concert – it is a monumental celebration of freedom, cultural heritage and Namibia's promising future," a statement by the organisers noted.

“This is an unparalleled opportunity to be part of a defining moment in our nation's history. We invite you to join us for this unforgettable experience. Secure your limited place at the event today by purchasing a ticket confirms your reservation."
