More than 12 years after André Heckmair was reportedly found with a bullet wound to his face in Windhoek’s Gusinde Street and more than nine years since the trial of Americans Marcus Thomas and Kevan Townsend in connection with this murder began in the High Court, the State is expected to close its case today. State prosecutor Antonia Verhoef indicated yesterday afternoon that the State would not call any further witnesses and asked that Judge Christie Liebenberg give them time until this morning to consider the submission of more evidence.
