Ex-preacher and radio producer Nashidengo dies
The revered ex-man of the cloth succumbed to short illness, having just voted in last week's hotly-contested election.
Retired Lutheran pastor and ex-NBC employee, Reverend Ferdinand Nashidengo, Ferdinand Hashomunanasho Nashidengo, died on Saturday at the Oshakati Intermediate Hospital after a short illness. He was 76.
This was confirmed to Namibian Sun by Daniel Nashidengo yesterday, who said the family was on Sunday travelling to the house of the deceased and all other announcements would be made in due course.
Nashidengo, a retired Evangelical Lutheran Church in Namibia (Elcin) pastor, worked as a producer for NBC Oshiwambo radio service, largely focusing on religious programs.
In his last patriotic duty, Nashidengo cast his vote in the Presidential and National Assembly elections on Wednesday at the Omaalala polling station in Ondangwa Rural Constituency of the Oshana Region. He is survived by his wife Laimi Nashidengo (75) and four children - three men and one woman.
