Eenhana expo a hub of opportunities
Vital networking
Expos drive economic growth and foster collaboration, minister in the presidency Christine //Hoebes said at the opening last week.
Minister in the presidency Christine //Hoebes last week said the Eenhana Trade and Business Expo has a positive impact on the country's economy and is therefore an important contributor to the socio-economic development of Namibia.
//Hoebes made these remarks during the opening of the 14th edition of the Eenhana expo, which ended on Sunday.
“This expo also serves as a vital networking hub where ideas are exchanged, collaborations are formed, and knowledge is shared. It is therefore through these interactions that we can collectively address challenges, seize opportunities and pave the way for a prosperous Namibia,” //Hoebes said.
By attracting exhibitors and participants from various regions within Namibia and beyond, the expo creates a diverse pool of opportunities and interactions that drive economic growth and foster collaboration, the minister said.
Supporting communities
The expo was held under the theme ‘Reviving local economies through business resilience, innovation and diversification’.
She said the expo has grown to become a cornerstone in the Eenhana Town Council’s efforts to market the town as a preferred investment destination and as a stepping stone for many small and medium enterprises to trade their products nationally and across borders.
She said government is committed to providing support to farmers, households and their livestock.
//Hoebes urged those requiring assistance to reach out to their respective government offices in the region.
“In the same vein, I urge those entrusted with the responsibility of providing this aid to do so with the utmost empathy and timeliness,” she said.
