Donkey thiefs appear in court

Two men, aged 26 and 28, were arrested for stealing and slaughtering a donkey at Engobe C village, Uuvudhiya area. Their names have not yet been made public.
A case of stock theft was opened.
Chief Inspector Thomas Aiyambo from the Oshana community policing subdivision said the discovery of the stolen donkey was made on Wednesday at around 14:20.
Aiyambo said it is alleged that the two suspects stole one male donkey from Engobe B village and drove it to Engobe C village, where they slaughtered it at a cattle post.
“The two were found in possession of a donkey carcass and charged for theft,” he said. The animal is valued at N$950.
The suspects were expected to appear in court on Friday.
