• Friendships will not be broken
Mbappe's snub of Los Blancos may perhaps already be a distant memory for the LaLiga club after they beat Liverpool 1-0 in the UCL final on Saturday.

KickoffAfter helping Real Madrid to their 14th UEFA Champions League title on Saturday, Karim Benzema has finally spoken out on Kylian Mbappe’s recent rejection of the Spanish giants.

With the season now done and dusted, Real will switch their attention to the transfer market, in which they have already suffered a huge blow following their failed pursuit of the Paris Saint-Germain star who, after months of speculation, penned a new three-year deal at the Parc des Princes, a decision that came as a shock to many.

Benzema, who now has five Champions League titles to his name, has finally reacted to his countryman’s decision to stay in France.

“I would have liked him to have been able to fulfil his dream of playing for Real Madrid, being together,” the Les Bleus striker told Telefoot.

“He chose PSG, we must respect him. It’s his choice, he has a lot of responsibilities.

“We will enjoy playing together in the national team. Everyone makes their own choices.

“Real Madrid are Real Madrid, I’m not disappointed. We are good friends, it won’t affect our relationship.”
