Benjamin proud of team
Tafel Lager Brave Warriors coach Collin Benjamin was buoyant after his team held one of Africa’s top nations, Ghana, to a 0-0 draw at the Babayara Stadium in the West African country on Monday.
The Black Stars of Ghana fielded some of the weapons they will be using for the Total Africa Cup of Nations.
The star-studded Ghanaian team was, however, shooting blanks against a resilient Namibian team battling away from home.

However, it was the Brave Warriors that looked their likeliest to score in the first half of the match, with a couple of goal-scoring chances.
“I think we had a very good test against a very good team that plays tactical and physical football with individual brilliance.
“I would, however, say that my team did a very good job by holding such a strong squad away from home.
“They did it as a collective with a lot of energy, and I am just proud of the boys,” Benjamin said.
The second half of the match saw Ghana push forward in an attempt to break the deadlock.
But Namibia held their positions well and made sure that they were difficult to break.
The Tafel Lager Brave Warriors also pushed men forward on several occasions, attempting to catch the Ghanaians on the counter.
The two teams used the match as preparation for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, which begins this week in the Ivory Coast.
