AR accuses Utoni of blocking union
News in short
The Affirmative Repositioning (AR) movement has laid the blame for the delayed registration of its intended Revolutionary Union at the feet of labour minister Utoni Nujoma.
Activist George Kambala said Nujoma had made himself party to a process he was not supposed to be involved in.
“We are in litigation with the minister and the labour commissioner. They are delaying the issuance of our certificate, despite us making all the necessary changes.
"The commissioner would send us back to make changes as recommended, but the minister involved himself in the process,” he said on efforts made to get the union up and running.
Hitting back at Kambala’s claims, Nujoma said he was not responsible for the registration of labour unions.
