Lichtenstrasser to hear fate on Monday
News in short
Convicted double murderer Ernst Lichtenstrasser appeared in the Windhoek High Court yesterday, and his sentencing has been scheduled for Monday.
Last November, he was found guilty of the murders of the Namibian Institute of Mining and Technology (NIMT) director Eckhart Mueller, and his deputy Heimo Hellwig in 2019.
The case was delayed after Lichtenstrasser overdosed on pills while in custody - in an alleged attempt to die by suicide - and had to be hospitalised.
Judge Christie Liebenberg is expected to deliver his sentence on Monday.
