#JustIn: N$2.3m case against former Unam employee continues
In the court case in which the University of Namibia (Unam) is suing a former employee for N$2.3 million, the parties appeared today before Judge Claudia Claasen in the High Court in Windhoek.
The case against Erwin Namwira Mpasi Katewa was brought as a result of the his alleged refusal to comply with contractual obligations. After the successful completion of his PhD qualification in 2016, Katewa resigned from Unam and allegedly neglected to repay the financial assistance provided to him during his period of studies at Stellenbosch University.
The case is currently dealing with an interlocutory application brought by Unam to amend their particulars of claim.
