#JustIn Möller murder suspect fails in application to call state witnesses again
In the case in which Gotlieb Panduleni and four co-accused are on trial for the murder of Walvis Bay businessman, Hans-Jorg Möller, the court this week rejected an application by Panduleni, that three state witnesses should be called again for cross-examination.
Panduleni and his co-accused - David Tashiya, David Shekudja, Elly Ndapuka Hinaivali and Malakia Shiweda - allegedly broke into Möller's house in the early hours of the morning on 17 June 2016 and shot him when he attempted to protect his wife and children.
They then ransacked the house, stole valuables and fled. Möller died of his injuries in the hospital.
Gotlieb Panduleni and his legal representative, Mbanga Siyomuinji, requested that an inspector and two adjutant officers take the witness stand again to clear up some uncertainties.
Judge Dinnah Usiku dismissed the application on Wednesday and the defence continued with their case on Wednesday, Thursday and today.
