Hans-Kaumbi appointed acting judge
The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) this week announced the appointment of lawyer Anne-Doris Hans-Kaumbi as an acting judge of the High Court.
The appointment was made by President Hage Geingob, on the recommendation of the JSC, to enable the court to deal with its work, a statement read.
“Hans-Kaumbi has been appointed as an acting judge of the High Court for the period 15 June to 31 August.”
She obtained a bachelor of laws degree from the University of Namibia in 2001, and is currently a legal practitioner in private practice, it added.
“She was admitted as a legal practitioner of the High Court in 2003.”
The JSC also announced the reappointment of justice Collins Parker as acting judge from 15 June to 31 March 2023, while justices David Munsu and Erich Kesslau have been reappointed as acting judges of the High Court effective 16 July to 31 March 2023.
“The JSC congratulates the acting judges on their appointments and wishes them well in the execution of their onerous tasks,” it said.
