RA against unauthorised roadside adverts
News in short
The Roads Authority (RA) has expressed concern over the placement of advertisements within proclaimed road reserves without the necessary approvals.
In a media statement, it said: “In some instances, advertisements are placed on road traffic signs, a practice that may lead to traffic accidents. Placement of any advertisements or posters on proclaimed road reserves is prohibited”.
“The public is hereby urged to refrain from such practices,” it said, adding that all requests regarding infringing on the road reserve must be made to the RA for approval.
