JUST IN: Namibia reactivates Covid testing facilities

The executive director of the ministry of health and social services (MoHSS), Ben Nangombe, has instructed all regional directorates to reactivate Covid-19 testing facilities.

In a report by the NBC, shared on the MoHSS Facebook page, the broadcaster said Namibia is experiencing an increase in Covid-19-positive cases. The Erongo and Khomas regions have recorded the highest number of positive cases. The country recorded 192 positive cases during November and 166 positive cases in December.

Nangombe further ordered that any person presenting symptoms of COVID-19, irrespective of whether the person has been in contact with a positive person, must be tested and go into self-quarantine until the results are out.
