Fan club renovates old age home
The dining- and common room of the Senior Park retirement home in Pioneerspark has been given a facelift, thanks to a new coat of paint.
The renovations were made possible by the BVB fan club African Buffaloes Namibia, who in addition to their passion for their football club Borussia Dortmund, primarily supports social projects through fundraising.
Besides a new coat of paint, additional renovation work was carried out thanks to a private donation of N$16 000. The ceiling of the common room was repaired and three new geysers were installed on the system privately by Care4 Plumbing & Electrical. Further maintenance work was also tackled.
Last Saturday, the residents of the home invited the BVB fan club for coffee and cake, and the newly renovated room was returned to its original purpose with the official handover by club president Klaus Otto and the manager of the retirement home Geoffrey Hartney.
The facelift cost around N$ 20 000.
