#JustIn: Windhoek's municipal accounts in spotlight

Augetto Graig
Community activist Shaun Asprilla Gariseb has called on Windhoek residents with issues regarding their municipal bills to come to the city council's doors in large numbers tomorrow to verify their outstanding debts. According to him, Mayor Queen Kamati issued an invitation in this regard on August 8.

City of Windhoek spokesperson Lydia Amutenya confirmed that Kamati encouraged residents with queries about their bills to contact the municipality’s customer service.

"However, the mayor did not request a mass verification event for tomorrow. We strongly discourage mass inquiries, as they can overwhelm our services and affect our ability to assist effectively," Amutenya added.
