CLOSE FRIENDS: President Nangolo Mbumba undertook a state visit to Cuba this week at the invitation of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez. The visit aimed to explore opportunities for strengthening economic cooperation, enhancing South-South collaboration and fostering greater business and economic ties between Namibia and Cuba, the Presidency said. “I, and many Namibians consider Cuba as our second home. Our home away from home, where we truly feel that we are among our brothers and sisters with whom we share an unbreakable bond of solidarity,” Mbumba said during an official occasion this week.
