Ellanie Smit
An elephant bull that likely died from natural causes was discovered on a farm in the Kavango West Region on Monday morning.

According to the police, the farm located near Nkurenkuru, is owned by Uusko Nghaamwa, a former governor of Ohangwena Region.

The carcass was discovered by two farm workers during a routine farm patrol. It was found with its tusks intact.

The two elephant tusks were removed and transported to Nkurenkuru for safekeeping and further handling.

No suspicious movement was reported and no part of the animal was cut off, and as a result, authorities suspect the elephant died of natural causes. No case was opened.
