Police call for quiet during exams
NEWS IN SHORT
The Namibian police have urged citizens to be considerate towards learners who are taking their final exams earlier than usual this year due to the upcoming election on 27 November.
"It is necessary to ensure that students can study and concentrate in quiet environments, allowing them to perform at their best," police spokesperson Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi said in a statement.
Organisers of large events were also urged to limit loud music.
Members of the public were also reminded to report all sales of alcohol to minors and parents urged not to send their children to buy alcohol.
