Ogilvy launches academy
News in short
Ogilvy Namibia launched the Ogilvy Academy in partnership with Red and Yellow Creative School of Business in Windhoek late last month.
In a statement, the company said it saw a critical gap in vocational and digital skills within the local workforce, which it wants to bridge.
"Namibia's workforce is facing unprecedented challenges in adapting to the rapidly evolving digital landscape. The Ogilvy Academy is our response to this. We aim to equip Namibians with the skills needed to succeed in today's fast-paced, digital-first world," Anny Mouton, a 35-year industry veteran and founder of Ogilvy Namibia, said.
The academy's target audience includes professionals in the marketing, advertising and communications sector, and young Namibians who have completed grade 12 but lack the financial resources to pursue further studies abroad.
