Education minister Anna Nghipondoka has called on teachers to inspire, nurture, and uplift every child as they return to schools for the year 2025.

In her back-to-school message on Tuesday, Nghipondoka expressed her gratitude to educators and school leaders, emphasizing their essential role in shaping Namibia's future.

“We extend a heartfelt appreciation to our teachers and school leadership. Your unwavering dedication, resilience, and commitment to ensuring that the Namibian child receives the quality education they deserve are truly commendable,” she said.

Nghipondoka acknowledged the hard work of teachers in 2024, noting that their efforts have established a strong foundation for continued success. She encouraged them to carry the same zeal and determination into the new year.

A message to learners

Addressing learners, Nghipondoka urged them to take a proactive approach to their studies. “Embrace each challenge as a stepping stone to success. While obstacles may arise, perseverance, focus, and a positive attitude will help you overcome them,” she said.

She encouraged learners to see education as a journey to be enjoyed and to dream big. “You are the future of Namibia, and the development of our beautiful nation lies in your hands,” Nghipondoka added.
