Namdia donates IT equipment to schools
News in short
The Namdia Foundation donated information technology (IT) equipment valued at N$459 265 to Olavi Shivute Combined School and Ndonga Primary School in the Kavango West and Kavango East regions on Wednesday.
The equipment, which includes 25 desktop computers, four laptops, five printers and a projector, is a significant step towards addressing some of the educational challenges faced by learners at these schools.
In a statement, coordinator Talitha Jario said “the new chapter for the schools reaffirmed the foundation’s dedication to advancing education through the use of technology”.
She added that the equipment will serve multiple purposes, including offering digital alternatives to help reduce the strain on physical resources, such as textbooks and paper. “Learners and teachers will now have access to a vast array of online educational resources, reducing the dependency on traditional learning materials.”
