Westair repairing crash-damaged homes

Houses that were damaged when a Westair Aviation Cessna 406 crashed in Windhoek during a recent test flight will be repaired. A representative confirmed that assessors were already on the scene and that the company is in contact with the owners of the houses. Westair also provided security services for the affected families in the interim until their homes are repaired.

Westair staff also helped to clean the scene.

The crash two weeks ago claimed the lives of pilot Rozanne de Beer-Olivier (33), her co-pilot Ruan van Schalkwyk (24) and aircraft engineer Armand Lubbe (25). The three took the plane on a test flight after repairs had been made. - Irene-Mari van der Walt
