Woman arrested for bribe attempt

A 49-year-old Tanzanian-born woman was arrested at Arandis on Friday for allegedly offering a N$200 bribe to a traffic officer who was issuing her a N$1 000 fine for driving a vehicle with an expired licence. The woman, who works at the state hospital at Walvis Bay, was expected to appear in court yesterday.
