Weekend crime highlights
Today's police crime report stated that on Saturday, between 01:00 and 02:00, a man was arrested on suspicion of stabbing another man during a fight over a 5-litre Overmeer box of wine.
The victim was stabbed in his chest, hand, and right thigh.
Meanwhile, the police are investigating a case of fraud, after an unknown suspect withdrew N$116 500 from a victim’s account in Swakopmund and Walvis Bay. No arrest has been made to date.
In a fatal car accident on Friday, two vehicles, a white Land Cruiser and a Land Rover, collided head-on on the Kupferberg road due to dusty weather conditions. Quintin Keys (55) died on the spot.
