Swakop police seize drugs worth N$130 000

Police in the Erongo Region have made significant strides in combatting drug trafficking in Swakopmund, culminating in the confiscation of drugs worth over N$130 000 on Wednesday. Several undercover operations targeted specific houses, with the most significant bust occurring at Mondesa, where a sting operation led to the discovery of over 600 mandrax tablets, 16 parcels of majad cannabis weighing 3 796 grams, and 15 grams of skunk cannabis. The drugs were valued at N$111 310. Two suspects aged 20 and 24, both Namibian men, were apprehended during the bust.

During another undercover operation, police confiscated 418 grams of skunk valued at N$20 900 and arrested a 23-year-old man.

A third operation led to the arrest of a 26-year-old man, who was found in possession of skunk worth N$100.
