Omusati woman scammed out of nearly N$1 million

A 47-year-old woman from Okahao has reportedly been scammed out of nearly N$1 million by an unidentified individual. The suspect reportedly used an unknown method to withdraw the money from her FNB account.

Omusati Police regional commander, Commissioner Ismael Basson, said the location to which the N$976 000 was transferred or moved from the account remains unknown. He added that the money has not been recovered. A fraud case has been opened and police investigations are ongoing.
