Man chops wife with panga

Last Friday, a man reportedly chopped his 40-year-old wife twice on her forehead with a panga, causing serious injuries.

According to a police report, the incident took place in Outapi. The man allegedly also threatened to kill his wife. He has yet to be arrested. Police investigations continue.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident on Saturday, a 27-year-old man was found lying in a pool of blood in Omulunga in the Otjozondjupa Region, after he was allegedly attacked by an unknown assailant and suffered multiple stab wounds to his chest. He was admitted to Grootfontein State Hospital in a critical condition. A knife was found at the crime scene. No arrests have been made so far.

In Outjo, three men attacked a 21-year-old woman. It is alleged that the suspects were about to remove her clothes to rape her, but members of the community came to her aid when they heard screaming in the bushes. The victim was taken to hospital.

A 19-year-old man was arrested. The search for the other two suspects continues.
