Man arrested for stabbing woman to death

A 54-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing and killing a 40-year-old woman at the Onamatanga location in the Omusati Region's Ruacana constituency.
The woman has been identified as Teofilia Adolf. Omusati police regional commander Commissioner Ismael Basson said the incident took place at around 21:00 on Saturday. “It is alleged that the suspect used an unknown sharp object to stab the victim once on the right side of her neck, and the victim died at the scene,” Basson said.
The suspect - who is a Namibian man - initially fled the scene, but was arrested on Sunday evening at Onamwege village. He is due to appear in court this week. Police investigations continue.
