A 13-year-old girl was raped twice by a man who offered her a lift on Friday at Onandjila village in the Okahao constituency.
Omusati police regional commander, Commissioner Ismael Basson, said it is alleged that the suspect raped the minor both vaginally and anally.
Details are still sketchy, he said, but there is no relationship between the victim and the suspect.
Basson added that the suspect allegedly met the victim at a wedding and offered her a lift home.
“He rather took the victim to two different houses and raped both her anus and vagina.”
The suspect is known to law enforcement, but has not been arrested, he said, adding that police investigations into the matter continue.
