191 arrested in October drug busts

A total of 191 suspects were arrested for drug-related offenses in October. According to Namibian police spokesperson, Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi, the suspects include 177 Namibians, one Angolan national, one Burundian, two Congolese, one Cuban, five Zambians, one Zimbabwean, one Nigerian and two Tanzanians.

Shikwambi confirmed that the police confiscated a variety of drugs, including 265 818 kilograms of cannabis, 1 419 mandrax tablets, 186 units of crack cocaine, 10.37 grams of cocaine powder and seven capsules of MDMA.
