160 arrested on drug charges in March

The Namibian Police in March seized a significant quantity of various illegal drugs and arrested a total of 160 individuals in connection with drug-related charges.
The seized substances and their estimated value included 312 560.81 kg of cannabis valued at N$3 125 600; 3 965 mandrax tablets valued at N$475 800; 6.5 grams of cocaine valued at N$1 500 as well as 118 units of crack cocaine valued at N$11 800.
Among the 160 suspects who were arrested were 151 Namibian nationals, two Angolan nationals, two Congolese nationals, two Swazi nationals, two Zambian nationals and one Mozambican national.
