NAMCOR sings MoU with Technip Energies

Principals of energy transitions, health, safety, and environment (HSE) principals, process engineering, platform installations onshore and offshore, and development of offshore hydrocarbons fields.
The National Petroleum Corporation (NAMCOR) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on behalf of the Namibian Government with Technip Energies. The purpose of the MOU is to facilitate, organize, and develop cooperation within various areas. In partnership with the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME), this MOU will facilitate knowledge sharing between the parties.
Through this MOU, both parties will strengthen the capacity of NAMCOR and MME to participate in the realisation of various projects both onshore and offshore, allowing NAMCOR to develop the energy strategy and energy transition in Namibia.
The integration of Technip Energies experts into the NAMCOR and the Ministry of Mines and Energy team (MME) teams will ensure skills transfer that will be vital to the optimisation of the recent hydrocarbons discoveries in Namibia. The areas of cooperation and education include:

The National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia – NAMCOR, is the legally enacted entity under the Namibian Companies Act 28 of 2004 with the Government of the Republic of Namibia as its primary stakeholder. Acting under the Petroleum (Exploration and Production) Act of 1991, NAMCOR has the mandate to carry out reconnaissance, exploration, and production operations.
