#JustIn: Oshikango to operate 24 hours a day

Augetto Graig
The Oshikango-Santa Clara border post between Namibia and Angola will be open 24 hours a day starting tomorrow.

The ministry of home affairs, immigration, safety and security has just announced that minister Albert Kawana and his Angolan counterpart, Eudenio Laborinho, will officially implement the extended hours tomorrow. According to the ministry, this is a strategic decision to promote cross-border trade, economic activities, and the movement of citizens between the two countries.

Transport companies are requested not to use the border post tomorrow between 06:00 and 14:00 or to use alternative routes. From 14:00, the border post will be operational throughout the day and night.
