#JustIn: No change in fuel price in August
Despite under-recoveries of between 50c and 54c per litre this month, fuel prices in Namibia will remain unchanged in August, the mines and energy ministry has said.
The National Energy Fund (NEF), through the equalisation levy, will absorb the “reasonable under-recoveries” on behalf of fuel consumers, the ministry’s senior spokesperson, Andreas Simon, said in a statement.
The petrol price in Walvis Bay will remain N$19.78 per litre, while the price of diesel 50 ppm will stay N$19.05 per litre and diesel 10 ppm will still cost N$19.25 per litre. Fuel prices in the rest of Namibia will also remain unchanged.
