Bipa confirms CEO exit

The Business and Intellectual Property Authority (BIPA) board of directors yesterday confirmed that the contract of CEO Vivienne Katjiuongua, which is expiring at the end of this month, will not be renewed. Executive for intellectual property and registration services, Ainna Kaundu, will take over as acting CEO when Katjiuongua leaves. The announcement was made at a mandatory staff meeting convened by the board yesterday afternoon. Katjiuongua confirmed to Namibian Sun last week that her contract will be ending this month.
