In an exciting development for the music scene, YNOT Music Group - a dynamic collective composed of DJ Castro, Yeezir, Ms Gideon and Kalhi - has officially released their debut EP, ‘That’s Just How We Roll'.

The much-anticipated project, boasting seven tracks, features collaborations with artists such as Mshizo, Sylent Nqo, Nally, DJ Picanova and 6ixkay.

Despite its official release today, the EP already started making waves after being leaked a few days earlier. Addressing the situation, DJ Castro and Yeezir spoke to tjil, revealing that the leak was intentional.

“We did not leak the EP by mistake, we just wanted to give it to the people before the actual release and it has proven to have worked out as we are happy with the positive response the music is receiving,” DJ Castro said.

The early release appears to have paid off, with fans responding enthusiastically to the new music.

As part of their strategy to engage listeners, YNOT Music Group has also unveiled a music video for one of the tracks, ‘Hold On’. “We believe in taking music to the people, so as part of that, we are releasing the music video to ‘Hold On’ and we are also performing at Katz Lounge this weekend,” DJ Castro added.

While the collective is focused on promoting the debut EP, the members are also pursuing individual projects. DJ Castro announced that he will be releasing a full body of work later this year. “People have been demanding a full-on project from me and I am happy to announce that they can expect something in September,” he shared.

Yeezir, on the other hand, plans to release singles to keep his fans engaged outside of the group’s efforts.

‘That’s Just How We Roll’ is now available for streaming on all major platforms, inviting listeners to experience the collaborative spirit and diverse sounds of YNOT Music Group.
