In a heart-warming annual tradition, the Walvis Bay municipality lit up the town with dazzling Christmas lights on Sunday, marking the commencement of the holiday season. This celebration occurs each year on the first Sunday of December, bringing together hundreds of families to take part in the joyous event.

The event’s highlight for many was the distribution of Christmas packs to kids, orchestrated with the assistance of Santa and dedicated members of the Junior City Council.

Fisabo Mapalo, the junior mayor of Walvis Bay, said: "The outcome was great. This was not only about celebrating but uniting as one community to spread love, joy, and care."

The festive spirit was further elevated by the collaborative efforts of DJ Escondido, Coastal Jumping Castles, Glow Waves, and Pelican Scaffolding. “Their contributions ensured that performances were not only visually captivating but also audible, creating an immersive experience for attendees," Mapalo said.
