The Loft to host AKA
South African rapper AKA is set to perform at The Loft in Windhoek on Friday, 9 December.
The musician - who won the Pan-African artist of the year category at the 2019 Namibia Annual Music Awards - will be joined on stage by home-grown talent KP Illest, Yeezir, DJ Castro, The Rhythm, Mapiano, South Brothers, DJ Kato and Ndinaky.
In an interview with tjil, The Loft hostess Jaimeelou Motoomull shared that she expects people to have fun.
“I expect it to be memorable. With AKA, we want to achieve a certain tone – to elevate the culture of entertainment in Namibia.
“What we also want to achieve is to show a display of security and a sense of affordable lifestyle. We are curating an event that is going to accommodate a diverse audience and we promise to deliver,” she said.
Tickets are available for N$150 at Pharoah’s in Klein Windhoek and The Loft at the Old Power Station.
AKA, who has been dominating charts and streams with ‘Lemonade’, added to his lengthy catalogue recently when he released another smash hit, ‘Paradise’ featuring Musa Keys and Gyakie from Ghana. The multi award-winning musician is set to release his fourth studio album ‘Mass Country’ in January.
