Queer art now opens tonight
Curated by Namibian artist Anne Lacheiner-Kuhn and in collaboration with The Project Room and StArt Art Gallery, Queer Art Now is an exhibition that forms part of the Namibian Pride calendar of 2022.
This group exhibition features photography, fashion, painting, basketry, academic writing, poetry, illustration and collage. With artworks from, emerging, mid-career and established artists, this intergenerational exhibition provides a moment for reflection and recognition of how far we have come and how far we still have to go in the struggle for equality and freedom.
The group exhibition opens on Wednesday (7 December) at 18:00 and runs until Saturday at 13:00.
The Project Room is located at 30 Julius Nyerere Street in Windhoek.
