Protea Hotel’s Gin Festival returns this Saturday

This Saturday, 16 November, Protea Hotel by Marriott Windhoek Fürstenhof is set to host the highly anticipated Gin Festival, bringing a spirited blend of premium gin tastings, live music, and exclusive experiences to Windhoek.

The event promises an elegant celebration for gin enthusiasts and music lovers alike, showcasing a carefully curated line-up of experiences.

In an interview with tjil, the event’s digital marketing coordinator, Jamie-Lee Loss shared that attendees will be treated to live sets by acclaimed artists, including the Soul Brothers, A Gulps Worth and Papa Dash, creating an unforgettable soundtrack for the evening. “This year’s festival combines fine gin tastings and vibrant entertainment, promising a warm and festive ambiance that extends well into the night.”

Gin aficionados can savour tastings from seven distinct gins, each chosen to delight a wide range of palates. Premium labels like Hendrick's Gin, Bombay Sapphire, Cruxland, Mayfair Gin and Imagin will feature prominently, showcasing varied flavours and notes.

Guests can also enjoy a specially crafted cocktail designed to complement the tastings, offering a well-rounded gin experience. “For those seeking a more relaxed vibe, Calean Masters will provide hookahs, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening,” shared Lee Loss.

Crafted by experts

For an added touch of luxury, the VIP package offers a more intimate setting for up to five guests. VIP attendees receive a premium bottle of Hendrick’s Gin and access to seven tastings and five expertly crafted cocktails per person. In addition, a private waiter will be dedicated to serving the VIP area, and a selection of platters will be provided for guests to enjoy throughout the event.

With an enticing mix of flavours, music and sophistication, the Gin Festival at Protea Hotel by Marriott Fürstenhof is set to be a standout event on Windhoek’s social calendar.
