Namibians unite to support Jameela with collective voting efforts
In a heartwarming display of unity and support, Namibians have rallied behind Miss Namibia, Jameela Uiras, for the Miss Universe pageant.
Spearheading this movement is Renate Shikongo, a renowned makeup artist, who has taken the initiative to mobilize the nation in a collective effort to secure votes for Uiras.
Using the power of social media, Shikongo has orchestrated a fundraising drive encouraging contributions towards purchasing votes for Miss Namibia. Individuals have been fervently sending in amounts as modest as N$20, collectively amassing over 5 000 votes, equivalent to a value surpassing N$15 000.
With the voting deadline looming on Thursday (16 November) the group is currently striving to procure an additional 1 000 votes in Round 7, valued at N$3 800.
Shikongo has offered alternatives for those unable to vote through the app, encouraging direct payments to her number, 081 456 2282, for collective votes. The simple three-step process involves downloading the Miss Universe app, casting a free initial vote, and supporting Miss Namibia within the application.
This unified effort not only showcases national solidarity but also exemplifies the community's support for Uiras as she vies for the Miss Universe crown.
