Simply You Magazine has officially welcomed MTC as the main sponsor for the 2024 Simply You Magazine Lifestyle and Fashion Awards (SYMLAFAs). In addition to MTC, the event is backed by NBC, TST Marketing Agency, law firm Henry Shimutwikeni & Co Inc, Life Day Spa, Vinyls Music Cafe, Kova, Kasi Vibe Namibia and Hannah Nangula Cosmetics. These partnerships reflect a shared commitment to uplifting and celebrating Namibia’s creative industry, the organisers said.

Co-founder of Simply You Magazine, Helena Ngaifiwa, expressed gratitude for the support. "We are deeply grateful for the incredible backing from all our sponsors. Their partnerships elevate the awards to new heights, allowing us to create a platform where Namibian creatives can see that their efforts are seen, recognised and acknowledged."

Now in its sixth year, the awards have become a hallmark event in Namibia’s creative landscape, recognising talents across fashion and the arts. The event has provided emerging creatives with greater visibility, helping to shape careers while fostering collaboration within the industry, the organisers noted. The ongoing sponsorships are seen as vital in ensuring the awards' continued influence and promoting innovation in Namibia’s cultural sector.

This year’s highly anticipated event will take place at the National Theatre of Namibia in Windhoek on Saturday, 26 October. The red carpet, set to begin at 17:00, will showcase futuristic fashion under the theme ‘Circa 2080'. Attendees - including 50 nominees across 12 categories, influencers and public figures - are expected to stun with bold and avant-garde designs.

Adding to the evening’s excitement, performances from top Namibian artists Lioness, DJ Vuyo, Mega and DJ Muhammed will ensure a night filled with celebration and electrifying entertainment. Tickets are available through Webtickets.
