Lady Lundy set to launch new album

MICHAEL KAYUNDE
Fast-rising gospel artist Lady Lundy is set to officially launch her debut album, ‘Omafiku Ange’, early next year.

Released in September, the singer - real name Fransina Ndahambelela Haiduwa - shared that the album is set to be made available for streaming to her teeming fans before the launch, which will be held at Omafo in the Ohangwena Region.

She said she's happy with how fans have responded to the project.

“The album has been received well; it has gotten good reviews, with track two being the fan favourite.

“It's such a positive response that’s motivating me to host an album launch at the top of the new year,” she added.

Inspiration

On what got her into the music industry, the singer shared that she was and still is inspired by the late South African multi-award-winning gospel artist Lundi Tyamara.

“I started listening to his songs when I was very young. Even though I don’t understand the Xhosa language, his voice was the best, and it’s the one that made me fall in love with gospel music,” she said.

She added that the main reason she became a musician is to encourage, teach, motivate and heal people who are going through challenges, and the only way to achieve all that is through worship music.

Asked about her future plans, the singer told tjil that she is determined to grow her fan base and catalogue by releasing more music.

“My plans are to continue to spread the word of God by releasing more albums. I will not stop until God says so. As long as God is with me, I am unstoppable.”
